A Strategic Framework for Evaluating IT Service Models

What is the Scorecard?

The Scorecard is a custom evaluation framework developed jointly by Beyond Academics and CSN to compare future-state IT service delivery models. It was designed during the Design Phase of the engagement to help stakeholders make informed, balanced decisions.

The scorecard takes into account both qualitative insights and quantitative benchmarks, ensuring that any recommended path forward reflects CSN’s unique needs and strategic goals.

Why It Matters

The Scorecard empowers CSN to:

• Compare service model options side-by-side (outsourced, in-house, hybrid)

• Weigh key priorities like cost, quality of service, and institutional alignment

• Visualize trade-offs between short-term efficiency and long-term sustainability

• Ensure objectivity by anchoring decisions in stakeholder-informed criteria
