Bi-Weekly Status Reports

Status Report

Reporting Period: May 30–June 13, 2025

Project Overview

The past two weeks were focused on advancing all major project deliverables for the CSN Service Model & Infrastructure Strategy Assessment. The team concentrated on finalizing recommendations for IT governance, resolving GreyMatter CRM issues, and developing key benchmarking and scorecard tools. Several upcoming deliverables and milestones had their due dates adjusted to better align with the evolving project needs. Team members collaborated closely, with a strong emphasis on integrating findings from stakeholder input and cross-functional working sessions.

What Has Been Accomplished So Far

Key Achievements and Goals:
  • GreyMatter CRM Stakeholder Working Session: A collaborative session with CSN stakeholders took place (June 4) to identify short- and long-term actions for the troubled CRM system. Findings from this session are directly informing team recommendations.

  • Scorecard Development: Scorecard sessions were completed with IT, Finance, HR, and Service Delivery leadership. Metrics and criteria were defined to improve performance measurement and transparency. An executive summary was produced to capture the intended strategic benefits of this tool.

  • IT Staffing & Network Strategy Recommendations: All salary benchmarks for IT roles were gathered and compared, and cost analyses are being finalized along with staffing insource/outsource recommendations.

  • GreyMatter CRM Assessment: Initial reviews of materials and a focused cross-functional listening session confirmed major performance, usability, and governance shortcomings with the platform. Full recommendations on stabilization, tactical phase-out, and future replacement are being developed.

  • IT Governance Framework Update: Based on extensive analysis, the team is expanding its governance recommendations, targeting a deeper realignment of roles, ownership, and accountability to address systemic issues across CSN’s IT landscape.

Status Report:

    • GreyMatter Insights Working Session with stakeholders is finished; session outputs have been captured and are guiding forthcoming recommendations.

What's Upcoming

  • Deliverable Finalization: Over the next 10 days, recommendations for IT governance, GreyMatter issues, and benchmarking are scheduled for completion.

  • Milestone Adjustments: Several tasks and deliverables had their due dates moved out (most now set for early-to-mid July) to manage workflow and incorporate deeper analysis.

  • Change Management Guidance: Awaiting further direction from CSN on approach before work resumes on this deliverable.

  • Revision Cycle: A dedicated revision week for all deliverables is planned, followed by executive presentations, workshops, and final handoff/approval processes in July.

Concerns and Blockers

  • Change Management Guidance is currently paused pending a client decision on strategic direction.

  • GreyMatter and IT Governance tasks highlight material challenges related to unclear ownership and underdeveloped governance—these are being addressed with expanded recommendations.

  • No other critical blockers are documented at this time.

Decisions Needed

  • ✅ Confirmation from CSN on the strategic direction for change management efforts (required to move forward with related guidance deliverable).

  • ✅ BA Team input/review on expanded IT governance and GreyMatter recommendations once drafted.

  • ❓ Final client approval for revised deliverable timelines to ensure alignment with stakeholder expectations.

Overall Status

The project remains on track, with all foundational analyses completed and recommendations entering final drafting and review. Strong collaboration and targeted stakeholder engagement are driving resolution of key technology and governance challenges. All July deadlines appear achievable, provided pending decisions from CSN and timely team input.
